Another fine day of sunshine as we walked in the footsteps of Tam Dalyell in “The Binns” estate. After an interesting fence climb, wood search for walk leader,…..we were on our way down to Midhope Castle and to our lunch stop in the grounds of Abercorn Church. After a photo shoot with Dumyat backdrop,…we completed our walk through Wester Shore Wood to “the Ship that never Sailed.”

A day on and round Loch Katrine for 30 members ….who Hiked, Biked and Lunched. Perfect weather, scenery and good company.

A train ..then a bus with a short journey that took us into beautiful park surroundings, then fantastic views over the City, to Fife and the Bass Rock. We may have been small in numbers, however, we were rewarded with a gorge, an observatory, picturesque gorse, a dell …and good company. Thanks to James for such an imaginative walk and to Heather for pics.

What a glorious day to do this picturesque walk on the West Highland Way …with a dozen SRC members,…well led by Mike,…..and laughter all the way of everyone’s stories when they did WHW.
