Culross – Valleyfield – Preston Island

Sunday 20th December

A shower in the car park before we started, glimpses of sun in the south and a windy day at times,…. is what we enjoyed today.    Culross and surrounding area is steeped in so much history, …..SRC will be returning in 2016 for a NTS midweek tour of the village.

Coilhallan Wood, Bochastle & Callander

Sunday 6th December

Grade: C+. Distance: 8.5 miles. Leader: Janette Seale.

Storm Desmond – Trossachs Sunshine.    As Janette said on our way to Callander,  you judge a walk when you get to the start.  How right she was,….as we had a couple of showers and the rest of the day was glorious fresh air and sunshine.  Thanks Janette for a terrific 8 miles.

Bridge of Allan Walk & Art Exhibition

Friday  4th December

After a short historical walk in the leafy lanes and roads of B of A,……led by Martin,  we met up with the rest of the Club at Stirling Uni,  Pathfoot Building for a talk and guide by Martin’s  daughter Emma who at presently is holding an exhibition of her work.    This ‘meet the artist day’ turned out to give us all a fresh insight into how the artist prepares, thinks and completes their work.
